The first time I heard this song, we were driving to the beach. The wind was whipping through my hair and the sun was shining as we sped down the highway toward salt water and freedom. You were screaming along and smiling, glowing from the sun and the wind and the love, and I loved you more and more with every measure of the music.
I found this song again, and put it on your CD. We listened to the CD together, sitting in your truck with the doors open and the speakers up as the sun went down and everything around us went to sleep. I was lying with my head on your lap, looking up into the stars that were your eyes when the song came on. You bent down and kissed me full on the lips, then turned the music all the way up.
